Keep reading to learn more.

Tips for Wearing a Princess Style Wedding Dress

A princess’s style is elegant and simple.

The point is, you don’t have to go overboard with accessories for your wedding dress to be the talking point of your guests.

Let’s take a look at how to make a princess style wedding dress just that; princess style.

Color

The first thing to consider when picking out your dress itself is the color. Do you want to be more traditional, or are you an ‘out of the box’ type of bride? Either way, the color you choose will inevitably decide the rest of your accessories.

Hair

The best way to complement a wedding dress is to wear your hair up in some way. Think a simple side bun with wispy curls in the front or loose braids worn off the neckline.

If you choose to wear your hair down, especially if you have long hair, think about pulling the top back and doing big curls.

Veil

One of the main characteristics of wearing a princess style wedding dress includes the veil. This is a traditional accessory that can be worn up or down.

Cathedral style length would be the classic way to wear a veil with a princess style dress. However, short styles are okay as long as they allow the dress to make the statement.

Tiara

One of the most iconic princess accessories is none other than the tiara.

For a more relaxed wedding, you may prefer a flower arrangement. But, if your dress is classy and chic, a traditional tiara would be more appropriate.

Jewelry

Your jewelry should not be too extravagant.

Depending on the neckline of the dress, a simple set of pearls is best. Stud earrings, preferably diamonds or pearls, will make more of a statement than something dangly.

Shoes

Perhaps the most difficult accessory to choose when wearing a princess wedding dress is your shoes.

Again, elegant and simple does the trick here. You can go barefoot, but I would skip the sneakers.

Cover-Ups

A princess style dress deserves a nice cover-up for later in the evening when the chill sets in the air. A satin shawl or sheer shoulder wrap is always in style.

Go Get Married!

Now you know how to wear your princess style wedding dress, so there’s only one thing left to do. Go on, wear it like a princess, and enjoy your fairytale wedding!
